Family relations are beautiful and they are what brings a family closer to each other.
Well, some people only consider blood relations as real relations and we do not believe in it. If a girl comes from another family and marries your brother, would not you consider her a family member just because she is not related to you by blood? This is a BS concept and we do not agree with it. A Reddit user who has been married to her husband for 7 years has shared her story. OP’s sister-in-law does not consider her the aunt of her kids and even she has taught her kids that she is not their aunt and that they should not talk to her. OP has maintained her distance with SIL’s kids as she does not want OP to talk to her kids. Although, OP is the best aunt to all the other nieces and nephews. OP gives them gifts, and paintings and takes them out for trips and loves them. SIL’s kids started getting jealous that their cousins get so many interesting things and they don’t. 1. OP married her husband 7 years ago and his sister made it clear that OP is not related to her and taught her kids that OP is not their aunt.
2. OP spends time with other nieces and nephews, paints stuff for them, buys them gifts and takes them on trips.
