Nobody likes the doctor.

And no I am not saying we all hate doctors as people because that is not true. However, going to a clinic or hospital is never done under great circumstances and it always brings back bad memories. So why wouldn’t cats feel the same? After all, they always get poked and prodded whenever they visit the vet so it is perfectly normal for them to wanna hide when they reach the dreaded place.

Although not all cats choose the most appropriate places. I suppose they adhere to the statement, ‘If I can’t see them, they can’t see me.’ So when one Twitter user shared a photo of their cat ‘hiding’ when in the vet’s office, the Internet was ready to share even more. And soon enough we had all kinds of cats in sinks, trash cans, cupboards and basically everywhere. And you can take a look at all these pictures for yourself by scrolling below.

Honestly, it makes perfect sense to me.

""

And we have the proof right here.

""

I mean I don’t see any cat, do you?

""

All I see is the sink and some sort of fluffy rag

""

I think we can all relate to this statement.

""

A mood that we can all feel right now.

""

That logic has no holes.

""

All I see is the abyss in the sink.

""

It seems most cats like hiding their head in holes.

""

While others are fine sitting in the sink.

""

Sinks seem to be a safe place for cats.

""

That is one adorable smile, to be honest.

""

I mean, every vet office has a sink so it makes sense.

""

Hiding in the corner is also an option.

""

Every cat knew this sacred technique.

""

Every cat owner should expect this kind of behaviour by now.

""

‘If we stay in the carriers, they can’t do anything to us.’

""

Camouflage is 100/100.

""

That does work for most cats.

""

Okay, this is taking hiding to an extreme.

""

‘How did you find me, hooman?’

""

While there is not much we can do to make cats feel comfortable in a completely new environment. Some people get great results by having a home appointment for their cats. However, if that is not possible, bringing loads of treats and keeping them entertained while the vet checks them over is also a good idea. I can’t promise that will always work but it is definitely worth a try.

I can’t find any cat here, Just a laptop.

""

A few more steps and he would have been home free.

""

The first time? Does she have a sixth sense?

""

That glare is something else.

""

The perks of being a black cat.

""

Cats really are liquids.

""

‘Please make this nightmare go away.’

""

Are we sure this isn’t a rabbit?

""

‘Do I need to get out of the vet?’

""

He also seems to be succeeding by the looks of it.

""

A headless cat meeting is scheduled already.
