Nobody can deny how popular and popularized remakes and re-imaginings are among artists. We’re sure you have seen characters from Disney, Marvel, and Harry Potter re-imagined and illustrated in new contexts such as gothic, vintage, hilarious face swaps, and classy characters. Who doesn’t love watching their favorite characters re-imagined into new and different styles? Duh!! They are modernized and depicted in a variety of contexts by talented and skilled fandom artists.

Ever imagined what if the main lead or hero was replaced? What if today’s hit movies were made back in the 1990s? There are many famous artists who make our dreams come true by visualizing the characters in a new look. That’s why we came across one of the most famous artists named “Tyron Handy” who joined this fandom artist team. He altered the ethnicities of well-known characters to make them look more attractive and changed their skin color.

As Tyron mentioned in one of the articles, his goal with this project is to raise public awareness of how mischaracterized black people are in cartoon characters, shows and movies. We have seen the shows that do highlight black people are filled with stereotypes, prejudice, and racial discrimination, and they’re usually just the “best friend” of the leading character. Well, we all agree!! We’ve seen few black characters playing the main role in any movie either it’s Hollywood or Disney movie.

Let’s see, if these characters were all black, how would they look? C’mon scroll down and have fun!

1. It looks better this way. No?
