Micromanaging is never the way to go.

I know a lot of instances where newly hired managers think they know it all. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that everyone has their ideas, and sometimes you need to be open to change and listen to what the other person has to say. However, the newly hired person also has to keep their ears open and understand why the old way worked so well and what could they change while also not sacrificing on anything?

It is a delicate situation in most companies but many managers just don’t understand this. And they want everything to be done their way or the employee gets fired. They are just unaware of the work and pressure that an employee has and that the company can not work without the ‘little people’. Well, that is exactly what this guy learned but it was just too late. Now this story happened quite a while ago but it is still as relatable;e as ever considering the age we live in now.

So just scroll below to take a look for yourself. Although I have to warn you that it has some things related to mailing that the newer generation might not understand seeing as I did not know some of these words either.

This is a story that requires a little bit of background so strap in for that.

""

The poster of this story clearly had an important job.

""

And he was usually always busy.

""

We also get a little bit of a history lesson as I never knew this word.

""

Things were going well until a new boss came in and decided to shake things up.

""

Now, this was the 1980 so everything was done by hand or on typewriters.

""

This was clearly a lot of work and not as easy as it might be now with the convenience of computers.

""

There was a lot of overtime happening to get the catalog out by the deadline.

""

The owner wasn’t hiring another person either so it was all on the poster of this story.

""

Ron was doing his part and just making everything even more difficult for the employees.

""

He apparently didn’t like the permit box which is a necessity as we come to find out later.

""

Ron didn’t know as much as he thought he did so she ordered the poster to remove the ugly permit box.

""

So that is exactly what happened, and the permit was removed.

""

Now, this wasn’t recommended but what could the employee even do?

""

This is when things went to hell and the boss stormed in with seething anger.

""

At this time, Ron wasn’t aware that it was his fault.

""
Source

The poster listened to them calmly because he knew he was in the right.

""

Then he came out with the truth and blamed it all on Ron.

""

There was a lot of extra time needed.

""

And that is not even mentioning the amount they had to pay for this to be fixed.

""

Thankfully Ron was fired at the end of the day.

""

I can’t believe that the boss gave Ron a second chance after hearing how dumb he had been. I assume that he would have gotten that chance as well if there wasn’t a loss but thankfully he did get what he deserved. Now I am not saying the owner was any better either and we will come to learn how rude of a boss he was as the poster has made some comments explaining what happened to the company afterward.

He became a cop? Why am I not surprised.

""

This guy clearly needed anger management classes.

""

Some people even shared their experiences.

""

Ron got what he deserved.

""

That is why a paper trail is so necessary.

""

It was the boss’s fault at the end of the day.

""

Or he would have never gotten his revenge.

""

Now, that would have been glorious.

""

They just need to calm down.

""

They will hang themselves eventually.
