My life was fundamentally altered when I became a parent to a young boy named Vincent, and it was full of the difficulties that every first-time parent experiences. The lack of sleep, losing your old “ego,” and doubting every conflicting parenting decision you make made me feel like I was failing miserably.<\/p>\n
As my kid grew and developed into a contented young boy, I came to the realization that while we all quietly are still trying to rearrange our lives to accommodate our children, we push ourselves to meet fictitious standards of parenthood. That’s when I made the decision to start “Toddlerama – motherhood uncensored,” a series of brief satire comic strips that capture my experiences as a new mother. It gives me energy sources I didn’t know existed, it makes me cry, it steals my sleep, but most significantly, it motivates me to sketch once more while I navigate motherhood. In 2018, I, together with my son, created a project “Li-Lili”. It’s colorful comic strip stories for kids.
