Dog Owner Refuses To Give Away Her Service Dog That Could Save Brother-in-Law’s Life

Nothing compares to the bond the pet owners share with their pets.

It does not take long to love a newly adopted pet. One can instantly fall in love with pets. Pet owners can never compromise on their pets. Giving away their pets is an option that they would never choose. A pet owner took it to Reddit to share her story and ask the Reddit community if she should give away her puppy, Scout. OP had Scout before getting married. OP’s husband loves and takes care of Scout but after getting married, the couple felt the need that Scout should have a friend so they adopted another puppy, Toby. OP’s brother-in-law was born with panhypopituitarism and he needed a medical service dog who would assist him. Mother-in-law saw Scout and made a comment that Scout would be a good service dog for her son. Now, OP’s husband took this comment seriously and kept asking OP that they should give away Scout to his brother because he really needed it. Scroll down to know if they gave Scout away or not.

OP’s husband should consider the fact that OP loves Scout and is not ready to give him away. He should respect her opinion and stop trying to convince her to give Scout away. If he is told to give Toby away, would he do that? OP’s mother should have done something beforehand for her medically fragile son. It is really mean of her to ask OP to give away Scout for her son.

7. OP’s husband should deal with his mother and not OP.
