Friend Gets Kicked Out Of Wedding After Bringing Her Kids, Not Following The “No Kids” Rule

Rules are rules, even if you are a friend.

Suppose a person is holding an event and you are invited as a precious guest because the host likes you. Of course, the host will have a plan set up for the day with one event taking place after another. In order for a smooth execution of events to take place, the host often applies some restrictions, some rules are set in place that must be abided by all guests to avoid any potential issues. As someone who has been given the importance to be invited as a guest, it is your duty to abide by all those rules and do your part to make the event a success. Once your job is done, you are not supposed to care about what the others do, your focus should then be on the food.

OP was NTA. Rules are rules no matter who you are. If she says the rule didn’t apply to her because she wasn’t haven’t the best of periods in her life during those days, she is a bit messed up in the head. Yes her husband left her but I am sure she has at least someone out there she could trust with her baby for a couple of hours. This was inconsiderate behavior.
