Take lessons from this man if you want to make a creative proposal to your girlfriend.
Proposing to the love of your life is something very huge. So huge that one could almost shit himself before asking the big question. And the nervousness exists because you can always get a “no” for an answer even though you are 100% certain that it will be a “yes”. It’s just that nervousness you feel before the plane takes off, “butterflies in the stomach” I believe would be the most accurate phrase to use here.
Now when it comes to proposing to your girlfriend, you get a really nice ring for her and then present that ring to her as a token of respect and love while asking the grandest question of them all, “Will you marry me?”. If you get lucky and the answer is “yes”, that engagement ring becomes your identity of love. I swear, in every movie, every book, in real life, every proposal has been like this. The boyfriend presents a ring, the girlfriend says yes, she wears the ring, and the two get engaged. There should be something different, something creative.
Well, when it comes to creative proposals I think this boyfriend nailed it out of the park. Jerad, Katherine’s boyfriend, decided to propose to her by giving her a rescue kitten instead of the mainstream ring. Spoiler alert: she said yes, and she absolutely loved the way he did it.
The event took place at an SPCA based in Erie County, NY when a woman approached Katherine and gives her a kitten to hold. It is a British Shorthair named Gandalf.

Katherine had no idea what was about to happen. She fully thought she was being filmed as SPCA to record an adoption video. But that was not it. Thanks to the organization and Jared’s aunt to turn this beautiful moment into a reality.
As soon as Katherine got hold of the cat, Jared appeared suited up out of nowhere.

The girlfriend started to get an idea of what was about to happen because the woman who handed her the kitten also asked her to read the tag. And as soon as Katherine laid her eyes on the tag, butterflies started flying in her stomach. The tag asked her a very important question, “Will you marry me?”. As soon as she read it, her boyfriend, looking very handsome, appeared right before her.
Jared got down on one knee and proposed to Katherine with a cat, first, and then a gorgeous ring.

After 2 years of dating, Jared thought it was time to start the next chapter of life with Katherine and his surprise proposal was so good, she was left with no other option but to say yes.
Katherine found the surprise extremely cute and was really impressed by her boyfriend’s creative proposal.

The video went crazy viral on the internet and Katherine was happy to tell everyone that Gandalf, the reason why she is engaged to her boyfriend, is adjusting really well at his new forever home, and is extremely happy to be with the couple. That’s all we wanted to hear.
Yet another cat making life bliss for humans. Gandalf, you are a hero.
