Who doesn’t like celebrating their birthday?
Pretty sure everyone does but in different ways. The entire year we wait for our special day to arrive so that we can spend it with our loved ones. While some people would enjoy their birthdays quietly, the others would throw a grand party and gather as many people as they can! Oh, and not to forget, they would spend a lot of money too! But not everyone is comfortable with spending a lot of money unnecessarily.
We came across a similar woman on Reddit who refused to eat her birthday dinner because the restaurant was too expensive for her liking. It’s not like she had to pay for anything. It was her family including her husband who took her to an expensive restaurant to honour her special day but that didn’t go too well. So, that woman decided to make an AITA thread and seek people’s opinions and suggestions whether what she did was right or wrong.
Well, let’s go ahead and read the entire story and what actually went wrong;
This woman never liked surprises? I feel sorry for the guy.
And she doesn’t like spending money or even if anyone spends money on her

It’s understandable that she didn’t like the money being spent unnecessarily but one can always make an exception for a special day!
But if everyone knew how she behaves about it, they shouldn’t have done it then.
She sure is a complicated woman.
Her birthday was ruined, according to her.
It’s not like her birthday was completely wrecked. Her family went to great lengths to ensure that she had a memorable birthday. Even if she wasn’t bothered, she should have taken care of her family’s feelings. No matter how pricey or cheap the lunch was, what really matters is the care and concern for others.

Well, it certainly wasn’t a nice gesture and you should keep your personal preferences aside if you see your loved ones trying to make you feel special. Everything comes down to the intentions. Did you think they are doing this on purpose to make you feel bad? Absolutely not! She knew their intentions were pure but even then she decided to act like an a-hole and ruin the entire thing.
