1. OP has a good salary she has two jobs, and she makes about 80k after tax depending on overtime moreover, her parents know about both of her jobs but she hasn’t told them how much she makes.
2. OP’s parents never believed it, she chose to rent a small 2-bed flat close to her work and she drove the same car she had since she was 20 moreover, she maxed out her ISA allowance and investments every year and she also invested a large portion of her leftover to charity.
3. OP’s parents expect her to drive a new car and insist on making more money so she can upgrade her life but OP has said to them that she is choosing to live this way
4. OP was at her parent’s place for Sunday lunch and they had invited a bunch of their rich friends the conversation was around finances and that’s when OP’s parents said they were encouraging her to make more money but she’s stuck in not well mindset

The parents deserved to be embarrassed after talking about their daughter’s earnings in front of their friends and the way she is living her life I mean if he’s happy let her be. The world doesn’t revolve around them everybody have their own ways of doing and living life.
