The culture of photoshop has gone too far.
Deep-rooted insecurities have caused many people to hate themselves, their body, weight, height etc. It is a very sensitive topic for many people struggling to get over their insecurities. It is mentally disturbing and exhausting. I understand where they are coming from, their motive to change themselves or their appearance. It is okay to do what you want to with own your body, you have every right to do whatever you want with it but we need to always remember that we are perfect the way we are. Imperfections, flaws, and all.
I know it is easier said than done but it can save you a lot of distress and trouble if you just keep trying. Never give up and never lose hope. It can also save you some embarrassment, unlike these people who have had their pictures heavily and badly photoshopped. They are now targets of internet trolls who are calling them out. Keep scrolling to see some Instagram vs reality of these people…
1. “Instagram vs video. Sorry it’s hard to take a good screenshot of the video but you get the point”
2.“It’s not just bodies and faces that get tune-ups on Instagram”
3.“Kylie Jenner (same day on Instagram vs on TV)”
4. Oh, hell no…
4. “Australian pizza shop. Instagram vs my order tonight.”
5.“Y’all wanted more, but then I noticed… her face almost looks exactly the same in every picture??? Weird.”
6. “Posted VS tagged. She is always making her waist tiny and editing her arms to create a muscular build.”
It is very saddening to see that our generation is dealing with anxiety, insecurities, and stress. Everyone has different reasoning. We have become a mentally unhealthy generation and it is not something to overlook or ignore. We must help out everyone and anyone we can. If we have knowledge on the topic of mental disorders and their solution, it is our duty as responsible adults to help people in need. The least we can do is spread awareness through the help of the internet.
We should know that we do not have to follow any beauty standards in the world to feel accepted by society or to try to fit in. Just because everyone is doing it, it does not mean you have to follow their path. It could be a bad path they are leading us. Just because it is trending, a celebrity has made it a trend, it does not mean we have to do it to seem cool. Be who you are, accept yourself. Love and spoil yourself. Flood yourself with love and shower yourself with compliments. You are you and you are different from the rest of the population of the world. You are unique, you are the original you. Be you. Do you. Do not copy just because someone famous or your friends are doing it. We have some more badly photoshopped pictures left for you to cringe at, scroll down…
7. “Why travel when you can Photoshop!”
8. “When it’s “raining” but not enough to make your hair wet”
9. “Teeth brighter than my future”
10. “Bro what”
11. Instagram vs court date”
Which picture did you guys find the most cringy? I have to say #7 was it for me. It was so embarrassing. Anyway, let us know your opinion in the comments down below on photoshopping one’s appearance. Do you support it or not? And Why?
