7 Weird Harry Potter Theories That Are Bound To Give You Goosebumps

Harry Potter universe changed our lives forever.

Anyone who has seen the movies or has read the books at least once would agree to the fact that this universe fully had a major impact on our lives. I really don’t know how JK Rowling managed to achieve this feat but she should be credited for it. An absolutely amazing, magical universe that made every kid feel empowered and motivated to achieve what the famous trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, achieved together.

Now there is one more thing that these movies and books did. They left quite a few questions unanswered. And you know how it when we see a question mark, we try to answer is. And that gives birth to theories. There are thousands of theories related to Harry Potter out of which many have been supported by the creator herself, JK Rowling. While the others, they do seem very spicy and true, we have no official approval on them, we just like to believe they are correct and they fit so perfectly as well.

Today we are going to look at some of those theories and trust me, they are bound to give you guys some shivers.

Scroll down below to enjoy!

1. Hermione’s cat Crookshanks was actually Lilly Potter’s cat.

Do you guys remember when the trio went to Grimmauld Place, Harry actually found a letter from his mother and in that letter, she said that the Potter family actually had a cat. Many believe that cat was no other but Crookshanks herself.

2. A crazy theory is that Ron lived two lives, one as himself and the other as Professor Albus Dumbledore.

The theory is supported by how they have some facial resemblance, that both have long noses and both were red-headed. Here’s another proof. Dumbledore said he has a scar on his knee. And guess who got his knee injured in Prisoner of Azkaban? Ron!

3. Mrs. Norris is actually Argus Filch’s wife.

The theory states that his wife was turned into a cat and she couldn’t return to her original self because the spell went wrong. He went crazy when his cat got petrified in the second part. His devotion to the cat sure did make a lot believe that it was his wife.

4. Professor Trelawney predicted Albus Dumbledore’s death in the third book.

Now, this is a good one.

Remember in the third part, Trelawney refused to eat with the other professors at the main table, at the Christmas dinner. She said if 13 people sit and have dinner together, the person who rises first will be the first to die of them all. Now, everyone thought there were 12 people on the table and Trelawney was going to be the 13th. But no, Wormtail was the 13th member at the table. He was disguised as Scabbers and Dumbledore were the first to rise after dinner. And he did, indeed, die.

I could go crazy if I deep dive into these theories. They do tickle you a bit as they seem so real and supported by amazing facts right from the books. Well, that’s what potterverse is all about.

Let’s look at some more.

5. The reason why Dursleys were so mean to Harry, was his own fault.

Horcrux is hostile and it affects people around it, it makes them angry. Harry was a Horcrux and he lived with the Dursleys for quite some time. That would’ve influenced the Dursleys into disliking him so much.

6. Hogwarts was an asylum.

If you do think about it, taking pictures, snakes in pipes, ghosts, brooms that let you fly, it does seem like some supernatural stuff. Mirror of Erised is a great example of how Hogwarts could be an asylum for the insane.

7. There took place a war between muggles and wizards and the muggles stood tall.

The Ministry of Magic is a great example of it. Once the wizards lost the war, a regulatory body was formed to regulate and control the actions of wizards and to make sure the two communities never interact again.
