Abbey, The Dog From ‘I Am Legend’ Is Now 13 And Still A Good Girl

Do you recall Sam, the canine co-star of Will Smith’s post-apocalyptic science fiction film I Am Legend? Since the movie’s premiere ten years ago, the dog, whose real name is Abbey, has continued to thrive and is now residing with her family and trainer Steve Berens.
She’s getting older and barely hears anything. However, she’s still moving around and still enjoys a ball and a bone, according to Steve, who recently gave an interview. Following are more details from the same dog and I am sure you all are going to love it.

“When you work with a lot of actors, they’re not that interested in the animal – a lot of actors look at it as something that the audience is going to be looking at instead of them.”

Will Smith made a pledge to himself as a child that he would never again own a pet because the agony of losing his dog in a vehicle accident was simply too great. Abbey and Steve had an excellent working relationship, so he even asked Abbey’s trainer if he could keep her.

2. I was begging him. I was like, please let me have Abbey. Please, please, please let me have her. But you know, she has her own family now so it was just another one of those fleeting Hollywood romances.”
