We all have a backstory.
We often think all the celebrities we see on the big screen are perfect and they don’t have a crazy backstory like most of us too. Well, that’s very wrong because they are no exception. After all, they are humans just like us who used their hard work and effort to become movie stars and made so many fans over the years.
It’s mostly thanks to these media companies and the famous The Tonight Shows that have resulted in the celebrities themselves sharing their epic stories from the past. For instance, Kesha shared on The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon that she once broke into Prince’s house and the whole story around it. Just like this, there are many stories shared by many different celebrities about their pasts, and the majority of them sound like a successful movie’s plot.

1. In 2003, while doing research for his documentary Traces of the Dragon: Jackie Chan and His Lost Family Jackie Chan found out his birth mother was actually a legendary Shanghai gambler and his real father was a Nationalist spy as well as a gang boss.

2. Rihanna was only 15 when she got to know she has a 32-year-old half-sibling sister named Kandy who one day showed up at her house and made her aware of the truth. She was also told she had a total of 3 older half-siblings and they all belonged to her father before he married Rihanna’s mom and had her.

3. Charlize Theron was only 15 years old when she saw her own mother shoot her father to death. Charlize’s father was an alcoholic and his mother shot him to defend herself and her children from him.

4. Kesha once broke into the legendary singer Price’s house by bribing his gardener who allowed her to sneak through the fence. She then proceeded to enter the house through a door that was left unlocked. She couldn’t find Price anywhere so she left and ended up meeting him on her way out.

5. Woody Harrelson’s father barely played any role in his son’s childhood because he was a convicted hitman and got jailed for life.

I am literally in shock right now. Especially that Jackie Chan story because I am a massive fan of that legendary actor. And the fact that he did the whole research himself to figure out who his real parents were and what were their occupations is absolutely amazing.
All the other stories also just tell you that our favorite celebrities are humans just like us and the differentiation factor comes only from their own hard work.
6. Leighton Meester’s mother got involved with drugs for whatever reason and had to serve 16 years in jail. In that very federal prison in Texas, he made and gave birth to Leighton Meester.

7. Julia Roberts had really poor parents who couldn’t even afford to pay their hospital bills at the time she was born. Luckily, her parents were friends with none other than Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King who showed what true friends are and paid the whole bill.

8. Jack Nicholson was born to an 18-year-old unmarried woman. His grandmother Ethel May in order to protect her daughter from getting slammed for having a baby at such a young age and that too without being married decided to raise Jack as her own son. Even Jack had no idea about his real mother.

9. Colin Farrell was once mistaken as a suspect. They quickly realized the error and released him. Later Colin revealed that the person who actually did the crime looked very similar to him and that is why the error happened.

10. Rose McGowan shared that she was raised in a polygamous cult. One day his father realized that they had enough of the abuse and decided it was time to leave. The whole family escaped in the middle of one thunderous night through cornfields.
