10+ Before And After Dog Adoption Pictures That Show Why We Should Adopt Not Shop

Dogs deserve so much better.

All dogs deserve to be loved and spoiled in their forever homes. Life on the streets is very difficult and dangerous. People and other animals can be cruel. Dogs are prone to disease and accidents when they live on their own in the streets. The world is a cruel place and people do not spare even helpless animals trying to survive. Dogs are so pure and precious, they don’t deserve a tough life like that. If only people would understand how adopting a dog can impact both the dog’s life and their own, they would start adopting instead of buying from breeders. It doesn’t matter what breed or age a dog is; All dogs are capable of giving unconditional love to their owners.

However, it takes more than just medicine and a vet to rescue an injured or sick dog from the streets. They need a lot of kindness, love, and care from humans to restore their faith in us. Once we take them in, we realise what we were missing out on. Adopting a dog can save its life, quite literally. You will see a lot of examples of that in the r/BeforeNAfterAdoption subreddit. “This is a place to share the amazing difference a loving family can make on an abandoned or mistreated animal,” reads the group’s description. We compiled some of the latest adoption transformations. Scroll down below to see them:

Hannah explained how a little bit of love and kindness can change a pet’s behaviour completely. “Dogs and cats are social animals and whilst some may be a bit more aloof, they generally like company and we humans are great at making a fuss of them. Some of those dogs and cats rescued from the dog and cat meat trade in Southeast Asia were initially timid and scared but with the patience and love from our teams, they have thrived.”
