Wedding day is a massive day but so is the day you become a parent.
These two events are probably the most joyous events there are to exist and every person who gets married and proceeds to have a baby says that having a baby easily exceeds the wedding day when it comes to excitement, happiness, and joy. This is an opinionated topic however as some couples don’t prefer having children. Either way, the wedding day and the day you have a baby are two very important days that you shouldn’t miss. But what if these two significant days clash? I know you guys must be thinking about how is it possible to get married and have a baby delivered on the same. I am not talking about the bride and groom over here. Today’s story focuses on the bride’s brother.
Shared with the sacred community of AITA, Reddit user u/throwaway22181702 shared that her brother Jack was going to be her groomsman for his sister but for a very important reason, he didn’t show up at the wedding which pissed the bride off. The reason why Jack couldn’t attend his sister’s wedding was that his wife was going to deliver his daughter on the very same day and he chose to cherish that beautiful moment over her sister’s wedding.

First of all, the family tried to separate Jack from Amanda after getting to know about her pregnancy. That is so wrong. You can not abandon a woman you just put a baby in and I respect Jack for standing up and being a responsible father-to-be. Second of all, I believe Jack did the right thing by not attending the wedding and being with his unwell partner who had already gone into labor and was ready to deliver the baby at any time. Yes, his sister’s wedding sure was a huge day but it was her day, not Jack’s. Jack’s big day was associated with his daughter that was about to be born and just like OP was at her big day, Jack was also at his big day.
Hence, I declare the bride the AH for getting mad at Jack for being loyal to Amanda and his daughter who probably is enjoying life in this world right now.
