Customer Asks Restaurant To Cut Burrito In Half In A Very Rude, Restaurant Maliciously Complies

If you’ve ever worked in the retail industry, a hospital, or even a restaurant, you’ve probably heard the term malicious compliance. Many employees deal with problematic people on a regular basis, and when they’ve had enough of them, they decide to take their vengeance. Taking revenge is perfectly fine, although it is not always regarded as a noble deed. If you know that your vengeance will have an impact on your organization or that you will be fired, you should reconsider your decision and focus on becoming smarter.

Staff or employees may become irritated as a result of a customer’s attitude or behavior; after all, they have to deal with them all day as part of their job. However, these folks can get on your nerves at times, making it impossible to sit patiently, and the employee ends up causing a mess for the entire firm. Similar to this Reddit post in which the bartender had to take revenge on the couple who had just demanded to split the burrito in half, the pair sat on their tables after arguing over this burrito. However, the bartender’s actions had a bad effect on the restaurant, as it received a one-star rating, and the pair left without leaving a tip.

Here’s the post regarding the Burritos and how the restaurant cuts them in half.

Simply listening to the customers is sometimes all that is required to keep the workplace from becoming a complete disaster. It’s not a huge deal if the clients requested that the burrito be divided in half; maybe they didn’t know how to do so or were concerned that they would spoil the entire burrito by cutting it into pieces, or perhaps they had a disability that prevented them from cutting the burrito into halves. Instead of dragging out the entire drama, the bartender should have just cut it in half just like they used to do. In the end, what were the consequences of this attitude? The restaurant got a one-star review and it definitely impacts the whole company’s reputation.

It’s completely fine to take revenge only when the customers are being nasty or throwing tantrums at the staff, or if the customers are making a complete drama that disrupts the peace of the restaurant for other customers to enjoy their meal.

Similarly, many people shared their experiences in the comments area of this Reddit thread to let others know that it’s alright to listen to customers from time to time rather than getting into a fight with them.

Here’s another hilarious story of a bartender!
