There’s no light without darkness.
The world would be quite boring if irony and sarcasm didn’t exist. I mean, what would be the point of telling jokes if they were obvious? It would just kill the excitement. The joke becomes a lot funnier when it takes the other person a second to get it. The fun part lies in not knowing what will happen next.
The dark and subtle twists are what make jokes worth listening. Otherwise, they would just be lame. So, when we talk about reading and telling jokes, comics are one of the things that come to mind. Though there are tons of different kinds of comics out there, today we are only highlighting the ones that have a subtle twist. Usually, in this type of comics, the first half tells a particular story, and the second half completes the story with a touch of hilarious dark humour.
Luckily for us, the Artist duo Elizabeth Pich & Jonathan Kunz have come up with something similar. Their comic series “War and Peas” are the epitome of twists and dark humour. They started this series back in 2011, and have grown a lot of fan-following since then. Soon, they are even planning to release their comics as a book titled “Funny Comics for Dirty Lovers.”
To show you some of their excellent work, we have compiled some of their best comics below.
