Employee Resigns After Being Burned Out By The Job, Boss Doesn’t Approve Resignation

Bad bosses realize their mistakes after it is too late.

I really don’t understand the psyche of bad bosses. Their main goal is to make money out of the business but the problem is that they want it all immediately and through any means possible. And that could mean putting employees under stress, making them overworked, doing corruption, and all sorts of unethical ways. But they must all listen to this loud and clear, immediate gain has never led an organization to success. It will always crumble in the longer run. And that is because those bad bosses hungry for the big bucks ignore their most precious asset, the employee. And guess what an employee does after being put under unlimited stress without any acknowledgment for the efforts, that employee leaves that sh*thouse!

In today’s story, a similar thing happened to Reddit user u/Dogmom200. They had been working at a place doing a job they referred to as a dumpster fire. There was literally no value to the employees and the bosses only wanted them to keep working and generating money. I am sorry but overworking an employee reduces their productivity and the money will actually start going out of the boss’ pocket, but you need brains to understand and those bad bosses don’t have one.  OP had had enough and sent in their resignation because the job was really taking a toll on them. It was a 5 day’s notice just so everything could be smoothly wound up. That’s when OP receive the most hilarious call from HR as they said the boss wants to review the resignation before they approve it and that they want him to work for a month at least. Yeah, sure they will.

Those 6 lines posted by OP ended up getting over 38,000 upvotes and have more than 3000 comments.

Scroll down below to read what happened with the employee and then the amaing reaction of Redditors from all over the world.

1. This is a classic case of an organization realizing its worth after it is too late. They will smash you till you are left with enough energy just to breathe, and when you finally decide to take a decision in your own favor, they understand their mistake. But for this bad boss, it was too late, they lost a gem.

Seriously, does that boss think OP would comply and waste another precious month of their life working at that place? I don’t think so. Organizations that burn their employees out burn themselves. It’s a fact.

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:

2. Disappointing that they still haven’t managed to get it right. Or maybe they don’t want to get it right.

3. OP should stop showing up. Not getting paid is better than a toasted brain.

4. Their priority is always to rob you unless you have the knowledge about the case you are presenting. This woman was about to be robbed of pregnancy accommodation until she stuffed the law in HR’s face.

5. Not my headache if it is not your policy, I am out.

6. Have they been hiring idiots in the HR departments these days?

7. HR basically starts a fight they can’t handle. They just hope for a fluke.

8. This was amazing. People should not just sit there and be violated by their managers just because they think they have the power to do so.

9. Such resignations scream “In your face”.

It is sad to know that OP wasn’t the only one who has faced HR-related issues. There’s a whole lot of them out there. Private businesses really need to understand the importance of a good HR and how much product it can generate, but no. HR just doesn’t want to accomodate employees. Sure then, they will all leave and the company will shut down.

10. Sure.

12. My guy literally became a threat to the office manager for doing his work right and ignoring all the sh*t they gave him every day. I cannot stop laughing at this.

15. Yeah, that’s the only they can get employees to work after the notice.

16. They were asked to give a two-week notice instead of quitting on the spot. They did give the notice and didn’t show up the next day.

17. Would happily make such an agreement. But the bad bosses would never.
