It feels fantastic to help other folks. It’s a little less satisfying to receive no gratitude for it, but we’re grownups, and we can handle it. But what if your charity gets criticized? Then you should think about whether you’re focusing your time and attention on the proper people.
With all the mouth-looking he’s doing, this neighbor should be a gift horse dentist. Here’s a perfect example of entitled neighbor behavior: a guy who took offense to the fact that his lawn was being trimmed for free, but not according to his specifications. Rather than saying “yessir” and caving into his dumb neighbor’s demands, OP simply canceled his regular lawn-mowing service. And then he has the audacity to blame him when the fine is finally paid. Regrettably, blame refuses to pay a fee. Now read the following story in OP’s own words and let us know your thoughts on it.
1. OP has a front lawn with two rectangles, a street on one side, and a neighbor’s house on the other
