I know you may have heard this statement hundreds of times before but this is a statement that needs to be heard by everyone in the world. While it may seem like adoption rates are on the rise, there are still a lot of people out there who choose to buy a pet, rather than adopt one. Now, there is nothing inherently wrong with it, the only thing is that it just promotes breeders who only do this for the money and since there are so many animals in shelters and on the streets, we need to help them first.
That is where a website by the name of Petfinder comes in. As you can judge by the name, it is all about people who cannot take care of their pet for whatever reason and are looking for other well-intentioned individuals to take their furry companions into a new forever home. And it doesn’t hurt that some people name their pets the most hilarious things you will ever see. I could never be as creative as these people.

While I do think that everyone can benefit from having a pet, whether it be a dog, cat, rabbit, or reptile, they aren’t for everyone. After all, there might be allergies in play or your building might not allow pets. Those are not the only reasons as some people just aren’t able to take care of a pet properly and thus should not adopt one on a whim because it never ends well for the pet. That is why it is important to do your own research before you commit to getting a pet. It is a lot harder to take care of an animal than it may seem on the Internet. After all, they’re living beings and not just adorable floor balls that you take pictures of every day.
