Being obsessed with pets can be helpful and even relieve mental stress in some cases, but what happens when the pet owner becomes overly obsessed with them? Have you ever wondered or heard about a pet lover who dedicated an entire room to their doggo, complete with a wardrobe full of dog clothes, boots, and other accessories? Not only that, but does your dog share the same pillow with you when you sleep? Isn’t it a little strange? But, yes, there are many people who are devoted to their pets and will not allow them to be left alone for even a nanosecond of their lives.

Starting with this Reddit post, in which a guy recounts his relationship story in which his girlfriend became overly obsessed with her dog, and the guy believes that she is suffering from a strange and unhealthy obsession with her doggo, so let’s get started.

They met on tinder and, surprisingly, they both were fond of doggos.

The guy was madly in love with his girlfriend who also adopted a dog one month before they met.

However, he observed some unusual obsessions of his girlfriend.

Doggo and his girlfriend used to sleep in the same bed and use the same pillow.

When he lived with her, they all slept on a single bed, with the dog facing the same direction as them.

Whenever he asks to go somewhere, his girlfriend suggests things related to dogs.

She frequently refuses to go out if she has to leave her dog for an extended period of time. Because she believes her dog has separation anxiety

She used to even brush his teeth every single day.

Not only that, but the doggo has his own Instagram account, which is loaded with photos of him.

She adores her dog more than anything else on the planet.

The man believed that everything revolved around this doggo and was concerned about what would happen if something happened to the dog.

Finally, the man turned to the Reddit users and asked a pretty simple question.

Pets are meant to be adored, loved, and given our full attention. After all, they are the creatures who rely on us. And if we own or adopt a furry baby, it is our responsibility to care for them at all times. Having a pet, however, does not preclude you from maintaining other relationships. Obviously, each relationship necessitates a unique level of comfort, trust, and love. It’s not wrong to have a pet and be in a relationship; what’s wrong is not giving both of them equal attention. If you do not make the same level of effort for both parties, you may lose one of them. Similarly, in this case, the boyfriend is considering leaving her because he isn’t getting enough attention or love from her girlfriend, all because of that doggo.
