Thrifting is an art form. There are countless stores out there that specialize in trying to recycle goods that people throw away or no longer need, or simply have forgotten for more appropriate use. For example, if someone had a toy that they played within their youth, and it was collecting dust on a shelf, you could find it in a thrift store to expand your collection of old toys, if you, for some reason, have a collection of old toys. I’m not judging you, I’m just explaining how things are.
A lot of weird and unusual things find themselves in their stores, and none of them are without some kind of history or story behind them. Here, you will see a whole host of strange and unusual finds that people discovered while thrifting, whether ti was from Salvation Army or the local garage sale. It’s just a thing that happens. I want some of these things just so I can mess with the people who come to see me.
#1 Bar equipment
Getting stuff to decorate your bar is basically a rite of passage for anyone with a bar. It’s a way to show what you value, and what kind of service you should expect, and whether it’ll be the fun, happy-go-lucky kind, or the drink until you’re passed out kind, or just something a little more satiated. Either way, this investment tells me that the guy loves his bar, and it’s his way of unwinding in his man cave. He goes there to chill, relax, and forget the world.
#2 Massive sofa
#3 Large penny
This is a supersized penny, which is great to take pictures like this. Because when you put it next to a tiny little kitten like that, it feels like the cat, which is already small, is basically the size of your fingernail. That’s funny, and kinda scary, but messing with perceptions like that from a thrift score? Absolutely worth it.
#5 Cats in suits
#6 Immortal cat picture
This guy has a cat. He found this picture frame. The cat in the picture is the same cat as he owns. He did not commission this picture, he found it, and his cat seems very confused as to what’s going on. Almost as if immortality is a normal thing for pretty little kittens like him.
#7 Dammit Doll
#8 Davy Crockett doll
#9 Double sofa
#10 Sweater ended up on TV.
They sold this sweater online and the company that makes these shows bought it, and her outfit was briefly showcased for ten seconds. It made her day, and she loved every second of it.
#11 Giant foam hand
#12 Crazy leg
#13 Heart cork
#14 Light up Christmas tree picture.
#15 Lord Of The Rings before the movies
#16 Crazy decor piece that looks like the new owner.
#17 Mouth phone
#18 Photo album
#20 Handbook for the recently deceased.
This is a book I want. I don’t even know what I’d do with it, but I want it, even if it is just for the aesthetic. Best part? The book is entirely blank. It’s a gag gift, taken from Beetlejuice the movie, and its entire thing is a supplement to the fanbase of the Tim Burton movie.
#21 Six inch figurines.
#22 Couch for lizards
#23 Tiger mitts
#24 Toilet seats
#25 Uterus badge
#26 Watering can
#27 T-Shirt of Wishes
