Horrific doesn’t always mean bad.
I know we use horrific when something is really bad but the following art pieces are actually quite great in an unsettling way. However, I wouldn’t want to put one on my wall because I’d have to see it every day and I might get nightmares because of it. If you think I am over-exaggerating, then you clearly have never seen the work of the artist known as Magda Patyk.
They like to invoke imagery that is not only terrifying but also instills a deep sense of fear in you. Most comments on their art pieces are about how their illustrations describe mental illnesses for many people. And I can say with certainty that this is quite true as I went through quite a few of their pieces and each one was unique and horrific in its own way. The most amazing way is that they don’t use loads of things to draw, mostly relying on simple sketches but detailed in their own way.

#1 Doesn’t this one look like its eyes are always following you wherever you go?

Magda’s Instagram is filled to the brim with similar illustrations but each one is different in some way. However, everyone will be able to notice the theme running through it. They mainly only use black and white to create their pieces and sometimes throw red in to really bring the focus on all the blood. They currently have 160k followers there and if you love their work, you should definitely check their Instagram out as they post them regularly.
