After a contentious divorce, OP, a successful woman with primary custody of her daughter Sadie, faces conflict with her ex-husband John and his new wife Amanda. 1. OP has a daughter with her ex-husband John and they got divorced 5 years ago, OP has sole custody of her daughter and he sees her two weekends a month. So last year he got married to Amanda who has sole custody of her 2 kids she’s a SAHM by choice and OP goes to a job 9 to 5.
2. OP has a decent job where she is being paid a hefty amount, so she makes sure her daughter gets the best possible care. She studies in a prestigious school managing her finances while having all the privileges. She is raised to be modest, and self-effacing.
3. For quite some time when she comes to visit OP, she carries poor and outdated clothes in her bag. Upon asking she said that her foster mother takes nice things away from her and shares them with her siblings which she didn’t mind.
4. OP said the problem came when she went to pick her up last weekend so OP had a business meeting and she couldn’t drive her over moreover, Amanda offered to pick Sadie up, and when OP went there John and Amanda asked OP to sit down and said Sadie to go in her room as her punishment wasn’t over.
5. They sat OP down and said it was unfair for Sadie to be going to a private school while her kids go to public school so they decided that Sadie would be pulled out of private school and put in the same school as the other girls.
6. OP told them that she would not be pulling her kid from the school she likes because they can’t afford moreover, OP said if Amanda started working in her field they could put their kids in private schools as well. OP also said if she gets pulled out of school one more time or her stuff gets stolen she will take them to court.
