A little love can change a lot of things.
Always adopt, never shop. There is a reason so many people preach this simple statement. There are many animals in the world who need a loving home. So rather than buying one, we should always adopt a pet. I know people forgo adopting because they want to choose a particular breed or don’t want to take on the extra expenses that may come with adopting or rescuing a sick animal. But there are many shelters with healthy animals that only need a loving family.
However, if you are up for it and want to help a poor animal, you can always choose to adopt one that clearly needs your help. After all, it is always so rewarding to see your hard work come to fruition. And that is exactly what we are here to see today. So just scroll below to see some incredible transformations that will leave you in awe. Beware, as these might make you wanna adopt or rescue another animal.
#1 Are we sure this is the same cat?
It’s almost a year to the day since my friend brought home a kitten from a rescue center, so she decided to recreate the first picture she took of him.
#2 Just look at all the colours!
Happy one-year adoption day to Philip! I’m so proud of how far he’s come!
#3 Apollo looks so happy and healthy now.
My Apollo when I found him vs giving him lots of love, food, and kisses.
#4 Wow, Luna has certainly become very chunky.
#5 This is what a healthy horse looks like.
My girl Charity, 6 months apart — the change still stuns me.
#6 This makes me wanna get a fish.
This is Max. He went from a tiny cup filled with anxiety to a 5-gallon tank with a friendly snail named Toby.
#7 This is what true love looks like.
I brought home a very sick 2-week-old puppy, doubting he would even make it through the night.
These pictures show why adopting and rescuing is necessary. That wild cat that looks matted and sick is hiding a lovely interior and she will always be loyal to you if you just help her. Sure, it might be hard at first and she might not be appreciative at the start but with patience, it gets better. And it is always rewarding.
#8 That is one beautiful cat.
This is a before and after of Walter. It’s pretty apparent how far he’s come in a year since we got him.
#9 The fur is coming in nicely.
He was a baby when we caught him in a mall parking lot. He’s going to be 7 this year.
#10 The whole colour is different now.
This was Hector the day we brought him home in 2017 and a year later in 2018.
#11 That is the look of happiness.
The day I picked up Ivy, she was overwhelmed and skittish. Now she enjoys forest runs and being with a select set of humans.
#12 He must be quite thankful for completely changing his life.
Anaemic, a horrible flea allergy, and a bad mouth infection — now he’s obsessed with cheese and sleeping on the couch. Meet Gobby!
#13 Even the colour is brighter now.
Got him from someone who was neglecting him. He didn’t even have the energy to stand. Now Felix is a very happy boy and loves to run around!
#14 Anzu looks quite proud now.
Anzu on the first day I got her vs Anzu today
