We don’t understand animals.
We would all like to think that we can understand our pet but that doesn’t always hold true. For example, your dog might bring you a potato. I don’t know you but that is quite random. I suppose sometimes our pets want to show their appreciation to us in any way they can and it is certainly better to get a potato than a ripped up mice when you wake up. And it is certainly quite nice to see animals showing love in whatever way they can.
This holds especially true for indoor pets since they can’t go outside to hunt for prey so they choose to ‘hunt’ in the pantry and bring you gifts. So that is why today we are going to recognize that love. From dogs bringing their owner eggs to cats bringing sponges from who knows where, we have some hilarious pictures for you to see. Our pupper has been bringing us eggs every day that she steals from some wild chickens.

Today is my birthday. I woke from a nap to a potato my boy brought me.

My dog likes to greet me by bringing me stuff from inside the house.

He loves to carry bras and underwear around the whole house.
Most cat and dog species are natural predators and they like to hunt. Even if they don’t go out, they do like the chase so it is normal for your pet to bring you stuff because that is what animals do for their young. And sometimes they think they are the ones taking care of us.

My dog, Aspen always grabs things out of the pantry and brings them to us with this face.

My cat brought me a rock. She is an indoor cat. I do not know where she got the rock.

Hopscotch always brings me a toy when I get home. Today he brought me my husband’s lip balm.
