Rehoming a cat is the hardest thing for a cat owner.
No one wants to rehome their cat but sometimes it becomes necessary to do so. A husband who owns an indoor cat for more than 16 years shares his story on Reddit. OP’s wife is 6-months pregnant and recently got allergic to cats. His wife wanted OP to rehome his cat but OP refused because the cat has not been around anyone else except them. OP told his wife that she can move out to his parents’ home until the baby is born and if the allergy persisted, he would rehome the cat but his wife thinks that he is prioritizing the cat over her and their baby. She refused to do so.
After reading the comments on the post, OP decided to give the cat away to his brother. His brother told him to wait for two weeks until he comes and picks the cat up. OP told his wife that she can either take the anti-allergy or stay at her parents’ home until the cat is gone. OP’s wife refused to leave the house. Scroll down to read what she did next.
