Every cat owner knows that the cats just can not be tamed. They have a free spirited mind and they are very independent creatures. Only when they do not want to take orders from you otherwise they are no different than a dog honestly. They just want affection and lots of food. They actually do not want your attention that much but they do like head massage and head pets. Let your cat do its own thing, let it be and you will see how happy they get. The more you make them follow rules or live a certain way the more these cats will run away from you.
Cats love the privacy and they need their own personal space. That is one of the main reasons they go from house to house. If they do not feel comfortable or if anyone annoys them too much, they will move to the next neighbor. e have come across tweets from people sharing stories of betrayal from their cats and it is so hilarious yet heartbreaking. I seriously do not know what else do you expect from a cat? This is just how they are, it is their personality. A cat is the kind of animal that is not only independent but also royal, they have this kind of maturity in them that we do not see in any other creature. They live in their own bubble, they like to live freely and do things their own way. The best way to show a cat that you are trustworthy and that you care about it is definitely by giving it food and if they allow then you must pet them for bonus points. Cats always put themselves first before anyone, they think about themselves first and then about the other person they care about. That does not mean they are incapable of loving or they do not love their owners. They just have a different way of showing it, it may not be the way you want them to love you but that is the thing with cats, they will do what they please. Cats are just complicated like that, it is in their genes to be treated like royalty because there was a time when people used to worship them so you can not exactly blame cats for being the way they are. Cats are actually very caring and calm creatures, it might not be in their nature to love their owner to death selflessly but they sure do love them the most.
