To be honest, it’s really weird that he hesitated in the first place. OP is his own wife! It should be a no-brainer that she comes on family trips. But we don’t know what was he up to, tight? So let’s read it till the end.

This is totally a worthless cause. His husband should have understood that his wife got hurt. The way he was talking about it all was not okay. Instead of blaming her, he must have taken a step toward sanity. OP was totally right to come back as she was totally unwelcome there.
