Important Employee Quits Over Vacation, Company Loses $19k, Boss Learns A Lesson

Everything fell apart when this employee resigned.

When will bad bosses realize depriving employees of their motivation to work for the company will only result in losses in the long run? I don’t think any of them have ever learned from thousands of stories available on the internet about how badly it goes for these so-called “leaders” in the end. Unfortunately, they all just have to learn it the hard way.

This one bad boss got a taste of his own medicine thanks to this employee. The employee was the most important asset the company had who would take care of the daily reports reaching the states. Without him being there to have the reports delivered smoothly every day, the delays would cost the company massive fines. So, this employee is critical. His bad boss, though, didn’t quite understand the true worth of this employee and decided to take their vacations back. The employee responded by resigning and in his absence the system that would send the daily reports to the states crashed. The boss had no option but to contact the employee to help fix this matter as no one else knew how to do it but he had already left. The only way for him to return was to have his heavy demands fulfilled or the boss pays $19,000 every hour for not delivering the reports on time.

Scroll down below to read through the story and see if the boss and employee shook hands on a deal or not.

1. It seems like a very important employee gave in their resignation and the boss is going to try everything in his power to make the worker reconsider their decision. Got to dig more to conclude anything.

2. The matter has something to do with the boss stealing the employee’s vacation and he retaliated by resigning. This is retaliation because apparently there’s something very important that only they can do and the salaries and bonuses of all the other workers depend entirely on that. This shows OP is a critical employee.

3. Turns out the company would be heavily fined if OP refuses to help. And he just made a massive demand in order to make things work out. Seems fair to me.

4. Revoking OP’s vacation just cost the company $19,000 but it seems like none of this information is going to melt him into fixing things.

This is just beautiful. What was that boss thinking? I mean, the case is very straight. Just fulfill the employee’s demand and save yourself from those heavy fines. But he won’t take that deal either. Looks like the company is going downhill from here.

Scroll down to read the boss pleading more and more. To be honest, the boss asked the employee to pick up the phone, again and again, is mildly infuriating me.

5. Why is this boss assigning tasks to an employee who has made it very clear that they are not an employee of the company anymore? And if they want their services, the rates have already been shared.

6. Oh wow. The fine wasn’t $19,000, it was $19,000 per hour. That’s a lot. Should’ve thought about it before messing with your most important employee.
