Woman Refuses To Eat At Her Birthday Dinner Because The Restaurant Is Too Expensive, Upsets Everyone

Birthdays are unique days that we eagerly anticipate, waiting the entire year for it to arrive so we can celebrate with our loved ones. Does anyone enjoy birthdays? Yes, various people have different personalities, but regardless of how they choose to celebrate their birthdays, everyone wants to do so.

Some people would rather host a lavish party, invite everyone, and spend a lot of money. Others, however, might prefer a calm environment with little to no hoopla since they don’t feel comfortable spending a lot of money needlessly. Like this Reddit user who, feeling that her family had overspent on the meal, refused to eat her birthday supper. She claimed that the restaurant was too pricey for her tastes. She detested the fact that they had to spend so much cash—on her.

Maybe they didn’t have much money, you might have reasoned. She was not required to make any payments! In order to commemorate her and let her know how much she meant to them, her husband and her family made the decision to accompany her to this upscale restaurant. It didn’t go too well considering that it only happens once a year. After that, this woman went to Reddit and started an AITA thread in one of the site’s largest groups.

Does it make you an a-hole if you refuse to eat at an expensive restaurant?
