Some people really need to mind their own business.
A home is supposed to be a safe space for you. You can look and act like whatever you want without the threat of people judging you. This is why most of us prefer staying at home in our comfort zones on a day off just to relax. What we wear is never something that we have to worry about in our own house because there is no one there to judge us for it. Whether we are butt-naked or in torn pyjamas, it does not matter. We are comfortably living in our own house without people poking their noses in our business.
This Redditor, however, does not get her privacy at all in her own house. She posted on “Am I the A-hole?” on Reddit where she shared that a neighbour came to her door just to shame her for wearing lingerie in her own house after the neighbour’s daughter was caught peeking into her house. This, of course, divided the Internet. Read the whole story down below:
This woman got recently married and everything was going as planned.
Until she woke up one day and got a message from her neighbour that his child was watching her wear her lingerie and roam around the house.
His daughter peeped through the window and the neighbour called the woman out for being ”inappropriate.
The woman slammed the neighbour for making her look like the suspect in all of this and asked him to teach his daughter some manners.
Her day was ruined because of this exchange.
Her husband wrongfully sided with the neighbour and asked the woman to wear ”decent clothes” in her own house.
She rightfully states to wear whatever she wants to in her own house.
In my opinion, the daughter should be taught not to peek into other people’s windows because a woman in lingerie is the least uncomfortable thing that she might see. The woman is completely on the right here. It is her house, she can do whatever she wants and the neighbour is just poking their nose in her business.
