We have all had our fair shares of problems with our parents, when they are too caring we want them to go down a notch, when they are too inactive we want them to be active all the time and when they are gone for a while, we miss them like crazy. Relationships with parents are mostly very complicated, if it’s not the generation gap that causes the problems, it’s the “We know the best”, and the list goes on.
What we need to give them credit for is actually knowing the best for us, they not only want the best but they all put in extra effort to make sure we get the best. They deserve a whole lot more credit than we give them, waking up nights while we were babies to feeding us when all we did was cry, making sure our stories are heard and the mystery tooth fairy found the tooth. Waking up with a gift under the pillow was the best memory I think I have.
Today we have found a story of a mother who was a little too worried to let her daughter drive alone after 6 PM, although many people found it really weird since she is 21, her mother still had her own reasons to support her worry. She chose Reddit as her means to connect with people and tell them the story. Let us dive right into it!
1. Here it goes!

2. Aren’t holidays the best time of the year?

3. It is natural for her to worry!

4. And her worry sounds reasonable!

5. Oops…

6. One thing led to another!

7. She did not get the best response!

8. There’s another one!

9. That is just sad!

10. Another one with an angry reaction!

11. Last but not least!

I think I do get her reasons at some level, but restricting her daughter seems a little too immature especially when she’s a college-going student and of drinking age. It is still surprising to see parents fuss over something so little but trust me, they are all doing that because they worry, nothing else. It is still weird to see them worrying when we are adults, especially when we consider ourselves adults and hardly bother listening to anyone. It is kind of cute in a way to see them all concerned and worked up because of us, but it can get of hands at times, just like this one did. So let us all hope that we do not put our parents under pressure and our parents do not do the same. No matter how unreasonable the issue sounds, trust me, they have the best intentions at heart.
