After leaving, the lady arrived with a key she had mysteriously saved, staged the flat to make it appear as though the cat had fled, and claimed it as her own. The user just went to Reddit’s r/AmItheA**hole subreddit to check her guilt after a buddy suggested that perhaps this wasn’t the most moral thing to do. The astonished readers swiftly and pretty widely labeled the woman as the a-hole.

8. If OP was so worried about the cat being treated in such a miserable way, a wise option was to confront him relating to its lifestyle. Not kidnap her.

I guess the response from the community tells us who’s the A-hole here. OP really did bad to Karl by stealing his cat and making it look like it escaped, so it makes her the complete and obvious A-hole here.
