This Reddit user made the decision to share her experience, which began when her husband brought home an abandoned cat that was in appalling condition. The initial aim was to confine the cat inside until it was strong enough to thrive outside, but as time went on, the husband began to suggest that the cat become a house cat, a suggestion with which she disagreed wholeheartedly. The newly adopted cat was shortly diagnosed with feline leukaemia, and although the vet advised that they put the animal to sleep, the husband refused and brought the cat back home because he had grown attached to it.
