Firefighter Gets Called For A Mandatory Virtual Meeting On His Off Day, Stands Near Roaring Fire And Turns Camera And Mic On

Work meetings should not be called on your off-days.

Some managers are stupid and they think that they have bought the employees and can call them for work whenever they want even on their off-days. Off-days are meant to be off and bosses should not call their employees for work-related meetings during off-hours. If a boss wants your time on your day off, then they should pay you for your availability. The same has happened with OP who got a call from his manager on his off day for a mandatory work-related meeting for training on a system. OP was already trained on that system and that meeting sounds stupid to OP. When OP told his manager that it is his off day, she told him “do it or get fired”. OP attended the call but in a way that disturbed everyone’s peace. Scroll down to read what OP did to teach a lesson to his manager.

Bosses have become so selfish these days. All they care about is their work. Employees are an important asset of a company and companies should care for their employees’ health. Whether they are dealing with something, having any issue or stress etc. Employees have a personal life and they should be given the freedom to enjoy that too. We can only wish that employers start treating their employees as humans and not as machines.

OP did not argue with his bossy manager, just stood in a spot where the fire will roar up behind him so that everyone in the meeting could see. OP did exactly what was needed to teach a lesson to his manager who tried to forcefully make him attend a stupid mandatory meeting with a warning of getting him fired from the job. To be honest, we do not like mandatory meetings. What’s the purpose of making them mandatory for everyone? Employers think that employees would do anything if they will threaten them with a “you will get fired” warning.
