This guy was just trying to spend some quality time with his friend when his day and joyous moment of him giving his friend a birthday present got interrupted for a bit by an entitled woman. Reddit user u/Dependent_List3175 was at a computer store with his friend to buy him a PC of his choice for his birthday. While his friend was searching for the product he wanted a woman approached OP and asked him for something. He said he had no idea about it and that was all it took to anger the woman. Yes, that was all.
The woman began scolding OP for not doing his job and for sitting on his phone while on duty. Obviously, she had assumed he was an employee there. OP chose to ignore her and turned away but as he did, the woman grabbed him by his arm, and that made him shove her away. This resulted in a major scene being created as police got called. Everything got evaluated as it got found out that the woman started it. OP was allowed to leave and he also got a 20% discount on the item he got for his friend.

1. Yet another customer mistaken for a worker…when will this stop.

2. OP is a tall guy and has a body shape that could make anyone easily over-guess his age.

3. OP’s parents gave him money on his birthday to buy whatever he wanted. He took the money and went to spend a good time with his friend.

4. OP is like a brother with his friend and they do everything together.

5. Their birthdays are also very close and OP wanted to do something good for his friend so he booked an Uber to PC World and took him along.

6. The friend soon realized they were going to PC World and OP was going to buy him a birthday present from there.

7. They got there and he told his friend to get anything he wanted so he went to grab something.

8. While he was waiting for his friend to return, a woman approached OP and asked him to get her something to which OP said they didn’t know. She then proceeded to scold OP for using his phone on duty and breaking the company’s policy.

9. Still not paying much attention, the woman suddenly grabbed OP’s arm and he involuntarily pushed her sending her through a monitor which fell and smashed.

Why do these people think it is okay to grab an employee? I mean that’s what it was. She assumed OP was a worker, I have no idea how she came up with that assumption. This is not acceptable. Her falling and smashing a monitor in the process is entirely her fault and she should be the one paying for it if the store charges. She is to blame because she grabbed OP first and to defend himself he pushed her back.
My god, when will these people learn? Let’s see what happened next. Scroll down below to continue reading!

10. Security arrived at the scene and the woman started complaining about OP assaulting her and not doing his job properly.

11. The police then arrived as the manager informed the woman OP didn’t work there. At first, the police were suspicious of OP.

12. The police then reviewed the CCTV footage and realized it was the woman’s fault. They saw everything.

13. OP was freed to leave and he also got a 20% discount on the bill from the manager. Happy days!

Here’s what the internet had to say about this:
14. That is a massive discount given how expensive PCs are these days.
