Sometimes we are the ones who get adopted.
And I don’t mean by humans. You know how we go to shelters to adopt a pet? Well, sometimes animals are the ones who choose us. It usually happens with stray animals who will start living in your house without your permission and then you have no choice but to give them food. And that is exactly how many of us ended up with a pet. Well, that is exactly how we have the following stories.
Some of these animals started living in a house because they were about to give birth and needed a safe place. While others were tired of sleeping in the rain and decided to adopt a human. Whatever the reasons may be, these people somehow ended up with a pet even though they never sought a pet out themselves. But sometimes you just have to go with the flow and I imagine these fluffy babies are eternally thankful to these people.

2 stray cats gave birth under our house, so we took them both in.

We adopted this 11-year-old kitty, and for months she wouldn’t let anyone touch her. A year later, she insists on sitting in my lap.

My dad and his neighbor agreed to take in these stray cats who live in their gardens and pay for them together.

A stray cat followed my boyfriend home. After a vet check-up he finally met our dog Noodle for the first time today.

Adopted this 10-year-old gentleman yesterday. He’s my first pet ever.

He’s been in the shelter for 2 years, glad to finally give him a home.

Meet Charlie! I just adopted my first dog! He has bad hearing but is an absolute love bug.
I am well aware that not everyone is an animal person but it really is worth it. Although I am not saying that everyone should get a pet. I mean it is an important decision and having a pet doesn’t mean cute photos and cuddles all the time. You also have to take them to doctors, care for them and much more. So this decision should always be given thought before committing to getting a pet.

I adopted these little guys yesterday and they’re already settling into their new home.

I decided I needed a companion. Meet Bunsen, adopted from the Humane Society at 4 months old!
