Ever heard of a black cat turning into white beauty?
Pets are well-known for their bold colors and furry coats. But what if we say that some cats do not always remain the same and that their fur coat changes color? That sounds strange, doesn’t it? But that is correct. This is the case with pets with Vitiligo. This is a rare skin disease that causes the pet’s pigmentation to fade, turning them white no matter what color they were before – or let’s say, turning them into white beauties!
In 2016 Nichole Bohm from Germany adopted two adorable kitties – Elli and Rosie, both are the sisters from heaven. But, unfortunately, one of the sisters named Elli (black and white tuxedo cat) started showing white flakes on her skin and was diagnosed with Vitiligo.
This poor soul – Elli, was diagnosed with Vitiligo when she started having white flakes on her skin.
When the owner of Elli observed some unusual changes on Elli’s skin, there the story began. The skin of Elli was used to be solid black but later Nicole observes a few flecks of white on her fur and immediately took her to the vet for a checkup. Upon investigation and checkup, Elli was diagnosed with vitiligo. It’s a rare skin and hair problem due to which the skin pigmentations are lost resulting in complete white hair. However, vitiligo can be associated with other medical conditions, but Elli was fortunate in that she was otherwise healthy.

Elli used to have black solid skin, but she began to show Vitiligo symptoms when white flakes appeared on her skin.
A few months later after her visit to the veterinary, Nicole observed that Elli’s white patches were growing larger and larger day by day. These white flakes were giving Elli a completely new look and appearance turning her white from solid black color.
It only took a year to drastically change Elli’s skin to white from a completely solid black cat. Her furs and head were turned white with only a few black patches. Not only this but still her looks are getting transformed day by day and soon this kitty will be turning all white.
According to Nichole: “She’s still changing every day, and I love her more and more,”

Elli also has her own Instagram account where her owner Nicole tries to keep her followers up to date regarding her beautiful transformations. Nicole not only updates regarding her appearances but also posts Elli’s transformation or before and after collages so the followers get a clear idea about Elli’s drastic change.
Surprisingly, Rosie (Elli’s older sister) is still the same without any minor changes and is still the beautiful black tuxedo cat that Nicole adopted in 2016.

Elli is still the same cat on the inside, despite the fact that she does not appear the same as she did a year ago. “Her personality is the same as ever. It doesn’t matter to her,” Nicole said.
She also stated. “She is as cute and lovely and as playful as the first day.” Rosie doesn’t appear to be surprised by her sister’s transformations, and the two seem to get along just fine, as they have in the past.
