Cats love to confuse us.
You would think cats would like to sleep in comfortable and expensive beds we get them. But in actuality, they much more prefer resting on a hard table or squishing themself in between a window sil. The reason they do this is that they want to feel safe. Your next question may be how would one feel safe falling asleep in such a position? Well, you know how some people like to sleep with their back against the wall? It makes them certain that nothing is ever behind them
That is probably why cats do this so they don’t get jumped by anything. So they squish themself into boxes because they like to rest in enclosed spaces. The most affection a cat can show towards you is by sleeping in the outright open or in your lap. This can mean they trust you implicitly and know that you won’t ever try to hurt them. That is why we have quite a few weird sleeping positions to show you.
So scroll below to take a look for yourself.
#1 Atleast the kitty is showing her tummy and that means she trust her hoomans.
#2 I mean that is one way to sleep on the bed.
#3 When you get home drunk and fall asleep at your door.
#4 That is how many of us sleep when we reach home tired from work.
#5 Atleast this is a position a human can actually sleep in.
#6 The only question I have is why? I don’t understand.
Most of the time you can learn a lot about your cat by looking at how she sleeps. If she is exposing her belly, that means she doesn’t feel threatened when beside you. And if your cat has one eye open, that means he is half-conscious and half-asleep ready to spring into action whenever the need arises. And if he sleeps on his side then that means he is in a deep sleep and trusts you not to bother him.
#7 Maybe she is having a bad fur day and doesn’t want to show her face?
#8 Okay, this is just making my legs feel like a jelly.
#9 Ah yes the arch enemy of a cat, a plant.
#10 Maybe she wanted to keep her head warm on the laptop.
#11 I have no idea how this chonker even managed to fit into this box.
#12 This one fell asleep while playing hide and seek.
#13 Even cats like cuddling, it seems.
