Dad Recreates Famous Horror Scenes With His Daughters & The Results Are Awesome

Parenting can be rewarding, impossible, and heartwarming all at the same time. It can be one of life’s craziest rollercoasters for a parent to watch their kids grow up while trying to cling on to their younger years for as long as possible. Every parent has different ways of doing that, some choose to play Catch together, some paint together, and some have slightly more… *unique* methods.

Joshua Hoffine lives in Kansas city, Missouri and as a father, he has been photographing his daughters armed with props and a wild imagination. He has spent many years turning horrific nightmarish scenes into detailed versions of reality. Don’t worry! These girls are happy posing for these pictures and being a part of these terrifying recreations. His best known photography series is titled ‘After Dark My Sweet’, which focuses on every child’s worst nightmares!

It was like a giant game of dress-up for them”. “They also knew they were making a scary picture – and loved the idea of scaring the audience as much as I did”. For us mere mortals, these pictures are straight out of our worst horror movie memories. These little girls love every single one of their dad’s pictures! Talk about supportive kids! His most widely known series is titled ‘After Dark My Sweet’. This series is inspired by some of the worst nightmares children have when they’re very young. Hoffine definitely has quite a vivid imagination and has no doubt succeeding in bringing all our worst nightmares to life. I know I’ll be sleeping with my night light on tonight. But none of us can deny the amount of creativity that has gone into each and every one of these photos.
