1. No matter at what age you decide to have a child, if you do not honor the responsibilities that come with it you are being seriously unfair to that new soul.
2. From what we know so far, the father really doesn’t know how to work marriages.
3. WHen OP’s dad had his now 15-year-old, at the time of her birth he created a will making OP and her husband guardians of his children, and the couple was fine with it.
4. Yes it would have been tough to manage the situation had OP’s dad passed the very next day after writing the will, but given that OP would have to take on the duties for only 3 years until the 15-year-old became an adult, she took it on.
5. But the 6-month-old is who concerned OP. At her age, she shared she was not ready to take on such a huge responsibility along with everything that was already going on in her life.
6. And that is exactly what happened. OP’s dad updated his will and named OP and her husband as guardians for the baby.
7. OP’s refusal was not taken well by the Dad as he accused her of favoring some siblings over others.
Sorry Dad but you can’t have a child at the age of 65 and then worry about dy*ng the very next day. You shouldn’t have had the baby in the first place if you were going to pass on the responsibility down the line anyway. Or perhaps the child was an accident and the wife wanted to keep it. Who knows? All we know is what the Dad is doing by making amendments to the will is unfair to OP. He should have taken her permission first. No one is allowed to impose their baby on the other.
