Dogs and humans have coexisted for thousands of years, however, there are some canine breeds that have undergone significant transformations due to many reasons. Dogs have been domesticated by humans for hundreds of years, and some breeds have been around for nearly as long as humans exist. Selective breeding, however, has resulted in tremendous changes in the species since they were domesticated. Whether the transformations were physical or psychological, several of these pets have grown significantly more attractive and powerful than they were previously.

These dogs were bred so they can hunt tiny animals just like rabbits, and these medium-sized dog breeds are considered the fastest in the world.
2. Bull Terrier has become stronger.
Bull terriers now have thick abdomen and altered skulls. They still are athletic and strong today.
3. Skye Terrier is known for its elegant appearance.
This dog was bred in Scotland to hunt other animals such as foxes, otters and to kill badgers. These medium-size dogs are known as Skye Terrier, and most people now use them as a pet and appreciate them as versatile companions.
4. Bulldogs are ideal for English sports of bullbaiting.
Bulldogs, the most well-known and gorgeous pet one could have. These dogs’ name is derived from bull-baiting dogs that were used for sport. The English Bulldogs have been transformed into something else after almost 100 years.
5. St. Bernards are famous for rescuing people.
There’s no doubt that these dogs were one of the most highly skilled dogs in the past. But now, these dogs get quick overheat due to which they can’t do much work compared to the past.
6. Pud dogs are one of the best companion one would ever have.
This brachycephalic breed has heart and breathing problems, low oxygen levels, and high blood pressure. And now these breeds have become exaggerated.
7. The center of attention, is Toy Poodle.
In the 18th century, this breed was primarily known for companionship and was famous for hunting mushrooms. These dogs have long muzzles and wide ears that drooped and had a triangular head.
8. Powerful and muscular dog breed: Dobermann
This medium-large breed is called Doberman Pinscher. Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann bred these domestic dogs around the year 1890. Traditionally, their ears were cut; however, it is considered illegal in several countries. That’s the reason these breed dogs have regular ears.
9. Pomeranian, the cutest, bold and fluffiest dog breeds.
This small-sized adorable Spitz breed is classed as a toy dog. When Queen Victoria owned a little Pomeranian in the 18th century, the breed became popular. The breed’s size had shrunk by half and is continuously shrinking.
10. Yorkshire Terrier with spunky personality!
In the middle of the nineteenth century, these dogs appeared and now they are considered a relatively new bread. The Yorkshire Terrier is a smaller version of the original breed and is considered more of a fashion accessory than a hunter.
