Baby showers and gender reveal events have traditionally gone hand in hand. In one of the subreddit postings, a transman’s father is having trouble convincing his sister that he would be hosting a gender reveal party for his son and that she couldn’t persuade him otherwise. He intended to complete all of his tasks the day his son’s transition journey was complete. The sister initially informed him that she could decide against going considering how far along in her pregnancy she already was. Gender reveal parties are a unique idea, but they have a tendency to spiral out of control. Individuals constantly strive to outdo one another, which makes it difficult to celebrate with anyone.
