This whole year has been very hard. But it’s been harder and continues to be for some people more than the others—Essential Workers. This includes doctors, nurses, policemen, rescue personnel, pilots and of course flight attendants. These are some of those people who had no choice but to continue doing their work around the clock. And while they had the advantage of staying employed, they were risking their lives every day to serve others.
But pandemic or not, the job of essential workers is never easy. It’s full of challenges that they have to meet in time in order to deliver the best possible service to their people. Consider flight attendants for instance. They are the unsung heroes who ensure the safety and comfort of all the passengers every day, yet they barely get any recognition. The kind of service they provide to people keeps them on their toes the entire time. From ensuring the proper functioning of emergency equipment to entertaining the needs of all passengers, flight attendants barely get any time to rest.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that their job is all strict and boring. Like everybody else, they too, have some fun time. In all honesty, flight attendants are all-rounders. They are waiters/waitresses, police personnel, rescuers and much more combined together. Their job is unlike any other because here they have to do everything all alone. One minute, they’ll be serving lunch and the other explaining a karen why she can’t sit in the business class. But on the bright side they get to visit so many different places and experience all sorts of exciting things while on board! So, it’s not such a bad deal.
That’s definitely not weird.

While flight attendants clearly have more fun on work than an average person, there’s no denying that their duties are more than just a part of their job. It’s about assisting people in whatever way possible.
Essential workers or not, we should all contribute in making this life less miserable for those around us.
