Does he even need an introduction?
Yes, I am talking about Guillermo Del Toro, the legend himself. Now, I am well aware many people hate putting people on a pedestal but you can’t deny the influence he has had on any sort of horror media. From creating intricate monsters, his unique touch is everywhere and you can’t escape. Many movies take inspiration from his work but they can reach the heights of his talent. I know it seems like I am just gushing about him but honestly who wouldn’t?
Some of my favorite movies were created by him and he has the awards to prove it. I know his most recent outing called ‘The shape of water’ wasn’t beloved by everyone but I think a modern retelling of Beauty and the beast was quite well done and I loved it, especially the aesthetic. One thing you can always expect from his movies is an immersive experience and he always delivers in that department.
So if you are as big of a fan of his work as I am, his house of horrors might be right up your alley. And you can see why by scrolling below.
#1 Every nook and cranny is filled with mysteries.
#2 And you can see the man himself posing with the Pans Labyrinth monster.
#3 There are many other things in this house of horrors.
#4 And it isn’t limited to only his most famous works.
#5 You will be able to find everything from the classic movies to modern retellings.
#6 And the lifelike mannequins are a sight to behold.
#7 Even the wax figure museum doesn’t have this much detail.
#8 I would honestly feel like something is watching me in there.
#9 But that is the experience you sign up for when you enter here.
#10 Wouldn’t you just want to sit back and relax with a nice book here?
I know you are ready to pack up your things and move to wherever this place is. However, the name House of horrors comes from the fact that this is actually his house. Bummer right? So while we can enjoy all the images on screen, we can’t actually visit the place unless you want a restraining order against you by Guillermo De Toro. But then again, it might be worth it to get a look inside. But I would leave that up to you.
#11 And it would be so memorable to take pictures will all the infamous creatures.
#12 There is much more to this place than I can even describe here.
#13 This is histoy right here for many people.
#14 You will also be able to find sculptures of your favorite characters.
#15 Although no one is allowed to actually take anything home.
#16 This is beautiful and disturbing at the same time.
#17 So are you enticed by this place now?
