Harassing girls is not a joke.
According to research in the United States, 85% of females experience harassment on a daily basis. The shocking thing is that this street harassment is so intense yet so common and not much is being done about it. “Catcalling” is a common word used for when men violates women’s personal space and integrity out on the streets. Although for men it is a joke or a normal thing to do, it leaves young girls and even older women traumatized for a long period of time. Sometimes even their whole lives.
It is seen rarely that men stop other men from cat-calling women out on the streets. But those rare men are true gems. Such a gem was recently discovered on Reddit when he posted a question on the AITA group after kicking out his friend from the car upon making nasty comment about women out on the street.
