A marriage is supposed to be very special for the couple.
Two people are vowing to stay together for the rest of their lives. They want their special day to be unique and just how they want it to be. Most kids dream of their weddings ever since they were kids, and not getting to have that kind of dream wedding is really sad. Of course, you have to plan things out with your partner too and come to a compromise as the demands may clash. But in the end, it is their special day and they decide to get what they want and what they do not want at their wedding. They don’t want anything unpleasant that might bug them on the day that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
This man on Reddit shared the story about his wedding. He and his wife wanted their wedding to be child-free and that was the rule for everyone. No exceptions. But not everyone followed the rules and that is when the family drama started. He asked if he was wrong for setting up these boundaries with his family. The couple got married 2 weeks back and had a rule that no children were allowed on the premises.
His 3 sisters all had children and they argued that they couldn’t leave the kids alone at home. But the man stood his ground and the family agreed to not having any kids there.
At first, there were no kids at the wedding but then the man saw two of his sisters walking in with their kids and he immediately went to ask them why they were there.
That is when the third sister entered, with her kids by her side. Security was called after a huge argument and they were all kicked out. His parents and aunt left the wedding as well.
They even posted about it on Facebook trying to make him look bad.
The guy explained to his family that it sent a wrong image to his in-laws as well, who were not allowed to bring kids either.
That is when his sisters revealed that their mother said they could bring their kids and she would handle the guy herself.
They wanted the man to give them a second party with the kids involved and were not respecting his wife either.

In my opinion, he was completely right for setting up rules and boundaries for his wedding. It was his day and he gets to have it however he likes. His family was stubborn and they should have followed the rules. It was about him, not them.
