Guys Send Neighbor A Letter Asking If They Can Play With Her Dog, Gets A Wholesome Response

What do you do if your landlord does not allow pets?

Many people have to deal with no-pet policies when they move out of their parent’s house. This can be extremely sad for people who have always lived with pets. Living in an apartment where dogs are not allowed can be difficult for pet owners, who miss the companionship and joy that a furry friend can provide. From navigating strict pet policies to finding appropriate alternatives for pet care, restrictions can have a significant impact on the quality of life for both residents and their pets. So, what should a person do in this situation?

There isn’t much you can do other than move out or secretly adopt a pet. That was also the issue the guys in this story were having. They wanted a dog but were unable to keep one due to their landlord’s rules. However, they did notice that their neighbour had an adorable dog, and they fell in love with the furry companion. So, while they couldn’t have a dog of their own, they decided to write to the neighbour and ask if they could occasionally play with the lovable doggo. If you think the neighbour simply agreed and the interaction ended there, you are mistaken. Actually, the neighbour sent these guys a humorous response letter written from the perspective of the doggo.

#2 So they sent this letter to their neighbours when they realised they had a dog.

We are four engineers that have recently moved into the area in the past 3–4 months. Our house is comprised of an Englishman, two Scotts, and a Welshman. Diversity.

The other day, we noticed a four-legged friend looking at us out the window when we arrived home from work. He or she looked like the good-est boy/girl there was. If you ever need someone to walk him/her, we will gladly do so. If you ever get bored (we know you never will, but we can dream), we are more than happy to look after him/her. If you want to come over and bring him/her to brighten up our day, you are more than welcome. If you want to walk past our balcony windows so we can see him/her, please do.

We hope this doesn’t come too strong, but our landlord won’t allow pets, and we’ve all grown up with animals. Adult life is a struggle without one.

We look forward to hearing from you. Or not.

Dearest Boys,

What a treat it was to receive your letter! On the subject of treats, I like them a lot. Big ones, meaty ones, and cheesy ones. Oh, sorry, where was I?

I am two years and 4 months old, and I am a sheprador (Lab x GSD). I came from Cyprus originally, but Chris and Sarah rescued me from a cage in the ‘cloggy hotel.

You’re right that I am the bestest-girl; how did you know?? I am very friendly and full of beans. I love meeting new people, and it would be great if we could be friends. I must warn you that the price of friendship is 5x ball throws a day and belly scratches whenever I demand them.

We here understand how hard it is to find pet-friendly rentals – and life just isn’t full without a dog, is it?! I’d love to hang out whenever you fancy. Give my servant, Chris, a WhatsApp and we can arrange a meet-up!

#6 Things didn’t end there either.

While I have become increasingly jaded in recent years, stories like these restore my faith in humanity and remind me that there is still goodness out there. We’ve all heard countless stories about rude neighbours, so it’s always surprising to see neighbours who simply want to be friendly.

And it appears that the doggo has made four new lifelong friends, as they also attended a movie night and appear to spend a lot of time together. The guys get to hang out with such an adorable puppy, so I’d say it’s a win-win situation for everyone.

#12 Her name is Stevie.
